It's another beautiful day here at Fox Cities Stadium, a little warm, it's almost 90 degrees here.
Game time!
Hopkins is the home team, sporting their Columbia Blue Jerseys and pinstripe pants.
End of 1 and Hopkins has a 1-0 lead over Cortland. Sam Wernick touched home for the lone run of the innning.
Whew. That was quite an inning. Cortland put up eights runs in the top half but the Blue Jays get a couple back. End of 2. Cortland-8, JHU-4
End of 3. Both teams get runs in their halves as Cortland leads Hopkins 9-5 now.
The Red Dragon bats are as hot as the weather today. Cortland has 14 hits and leads JHU 13-5 now in the top of the 5th. We need to get something going here!
Top of the 6th. Cortland has opened things up with another 8-run outing in the 5th. Red Dragons lead 21-5.
Hopkins homers from Huisman, Youchak and Swarr in the bottom of the 6th. JHU now down 21-8
Cortland gets two runs back and Hop can't get anything going in the 7th. Blue Jays trail 23-8. End of 7th.
And that's the game folks. Cortland ends Hopkins season in a 23-8 game. Hopkins wraps up one of the best seasons in program history with a school-record 44 wins.
